Ale Industries (Concord BART plus bus)

Ale Industries is a small brewery in Concord. They produce three beers year around, which can be found in pubs and bottle shops around the Bay Area. They also brew one-offs and seasonals. They have a tasting room which is open several days a week. Check their website for the schedule.

Extras: More Beer, an home brew supplies shop with an excellent selection is located in the same complex as Ale Industries. E.J Phair Brewpub is located a short walk in the other direction from the BART station in downtown Concord.

This trip is well beyond the one mile we typically recommend for these walks, so unless you prefer 1.8 miles of exercise each way, take the County Connection #16 bus for part of the route or call a cab. Exit BART and go onto Laguna Avenue to Galindo Street. Take the #16 bus “AMTRAK via Downtown Pleasant Hill,” ($1.00 with a BART transfer from machine inside the station). Get off at Monument Boulevard and Detroit Avenue. Cross Monument and walk down Detroit about .7 miles to the small industrial park on your right. Ale Industries is to the left of the More Beer store.
