S.F. Brewing Company (Montgomery)

San Francisco Brewing is a small, historic brewpub in an even more historic Barbary Coast saloon building. The building is worth a peek on your way to the next pub.  They serve beer made on site, and are best known for a very inexpensive happy hour.

Extras: Be sure to explore nearby beer destinations or restaurants in North Beach and Chinatown while near here. Take a walk about five blocks further up Columbus Avenue to Rogue’s extensive taphouse and then another couple of blocks to La Trappe for some great Belgium beer.  S.F. Brewing is only a little further from Embarcadero Station than from Montgomery, so return to BART at the other station for variety.
