In June, 2014, Adam Lamareaux, founder of Linden Street Brewery, partnered with an acclaimed (and Michelin star’d) local chef to open the Dock Restaurant and the accompanying Beer Shed, adjoining the production brewery.
Linden St Brewery closed 12/16, but The Shed remains. The pleasant tap room has both inside and outside seating. Ten taps feature carefully selected Northern California beers. House-made bar snacks are available here, and you can follow up with full meals at the next door Dock Restaurant.
Extras: The Dock, next door towards the street, is a don’t-miss beer-centric restaurant. Go for dinner, or ask if they will seat you just for the soft-serve sundae desert menu. It’s not far to walk down 3rd St. to Beer Revolution, and from there up Broadway to the Oakland 12th Street BART Station.

We suggest walking this by daylight only. Even then, the walk from West Oakland BART can feel a little bit desolate. The map shows the route from the exit on 7th Street. You may shave off a little distance by cutting though the parking lot on the 5th Street side of the station instead. Continue down Mandela Parkway, which curves and changes to 3rd Street. Enjoy the railroad yard scenery, and continue until you get to Linden Street. Turn right and then right again into the parking lot at 95 Linden. Pass the wine tasting and the restaurant to get to the Beer Shed.
