Speakeasy Brewery (Embarcadero plus MUNI)

Speakeasy Ales and Lagers makes an array of hoppy and flavorful beers. Though their beer is very well distributed in bars, stores and restaurants throughout the Bay Area and beyond, you can only sample their brews at the source when you drop by on Fridays during their weekly open house, 4-9PM. Live music, beer and usually a food truck or 2. As of September, 2011, Speakeasy is also open on Saturdays, 1-6PM. They are not near BART.
