Harry’s Hofbrau (Bay Fair)

Harry’s Hofbrau has been in this San Leandro location for many years. It was a traditional Hofbrau with serve-yourself steam stable food stations, a bar and TV’s.  They are still all that but in November, 2013, they converted their beer program to all craft beer. Their 28 taps feature an excellent and diverse rotating selection of beers from local breweries as well as regional, national and international breweries. There are plans to add a beer engine and a firkin also.Harry's Front Door

They are not new to the craft game. Two of their other restaurant/pubs, in San Jose and Redwood City converted their bars to craft in years past.

Their space is huge. The bar area, while spacious, is only a small part of this combo restaurant/pub. The food is served in traditional hofbrau style, i.e. grab a tray and queue up in the cafeteria-style line alongside the food stations. There are four TV’s in the bar area as well as a nice patio out back.
