Born a San Francisco brewery, this local and national favorite has moved their main production site to Oakland’s Jack London Square neighborhood so they can satisfy more of the demand for their beer. Fortunately they have included a well-thought out restaurant and taproom in the new facility.
Known for Detroit-style pizza, the rest of the food offerings include familiar and adventurous options. While there is considerable experimentation with beer recipes here, proven classics come around again and again.
Part of the Oakland brewery cluster, this can be a stop on an impromptu craft beery tour of neighborhood. It’s also near the Oakland-SF Ferry terminal in Jack London Square, for another mode of travel.
