Beer for the Future: Support your Local Breweries with Gift Cards and Merch

Well, this is quite something. The governments of Bay Area Counties have ordered most businesses to close. (Some brewpubs are open for food & perhaps beer pickup under the restaurant exemption, and others have already developed shipping options.) Right now, while we hunker in place, we can support our local breweries and taprooms by getting a gift card for a future community experience. More to come! We will be updating this as we get more information. Think of the great outing you can have to meet up with friends when the restrictions are lifted. Wow, a toast at less than 6 feet apart! Most are relatively close to the BART line. You can plan your trip using mass transit at the Beer By BART destinations page when all of this has blown over. (Those marked * are in our region but not at all near BART, so they will make a different kind of future outing from the central SF Bay Area, but will be happy to see you.)

If your favorite brewery offers no gift cards, how about picking up some merch? A sweet new hoody supports them, too. Most will have a store link showing on their website home page. A few can ship beer and others are getting that organized now.
